I don't know much about the Upmost DVB-T devices (I saw it on a fair). I 
think it the DiBcom USB1.1 reference design? Without even changing the 
USB IDs.

Can you please run "lsusb -v" when the device is plugged in?

Also try dvb-kernel from CVS to use the latest version of the drivers 
(although I think 2.6.11 contains a good version, but I'm not sure about 
-mm4).
