Go to "dvb config dialog"->misc tab, and click "Update". This will download a 
daily updated archive.

There may be several reasons for epg not working.
I've just commited a "dump events" option. You can fetch current cvs ( wait 
10h from now for anonymous sf server to be synced ), tune to some mplex 
carrying events ( like canal+ on astra ), then open the "DVB config dialog", 
go to "Misc" tab and click on the "Dump" button; this will create a file with 
all parsed events.
