[linux-dvb] TT DVB-S Rev 1.5 unable to lock some transponders, OK with ProgDVB, and on Rev 1.6 card

Hi,

I have a TT DVB-S rev 1.5 which has problems locking onto some
transponders. An example are the 6 ABC transponders on Optus B1 (eg ABC
Victoria 12688 H 14294 7/8) which all fail to lock. However, ProgDVB in
Windows on the same system (with the same card) is able to lock these.

The problem occurs with both the linuxtv-dvb-1.0.1 and 1.1.1 drivers.

I have tried swapping my rev 1.5 card with a friends rev 1.6 card, and his
was able to lock these transponders on my system, while my card in his
system was not.

This seems to suggest to me a problem with the linuxtv-dvb drivers for the
alps-bsru6 front end, or the stv0299 demodulator on the rev1.5.

Has anyone else had similar problems with this card?

Can anyone suggest where I look from here?

Thanks,

Mark.
