The latency timer sets how long a device may keep the bus before it gives it away if another device is waiting. IEEE 1394 [..] That's a lot of stuff on one bus. Who made your motherboard? (Firewire, USB, SATA, GbE, FastE, your two BT878s in the PCI slots, your sound card, another IDE interface, and USB!)
