I have this problem for some time with any kernel after 2.6.11-rc3. I'm
using 2.6.10 right now and it is working fine.

Here are the last line from syslog using 2.6.11.4:

    bttv: Bt8xx card found (0).
    ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:0a.0[A] -> GSI 10 (level, low) -> IRQ 10
    bttv0: Bt878 (rev 17) at 0000:00:0a.0, irq: 10, latency: 32, mmio:

And for comparation, here is the output from 2.6.10 on the same system

The system just freeze when loading bttv driver. I was able to capture
this line from syslog because I have a dedicated system for logging.

I have tested and the problems is still in 2.6.12-rc1-bk3.
I have also tried to move my DVB board to different systems and I see
same hang when loading bttv. I have tried P3 and P4 systems with SiS,
VIA and Intel chipsets.

Thanks,
