Hello, Reg.Clemens

If your intrest is in testing out the Air2PC card WITHOUT using MythTv
then i'd suggest using the cvs version of dvbstream. Below are some simply
instructions for getting it going.

A simple application to view a MPEG2-TS stream or capture it to disk is <a
href="http://www.dchapman.com/dvbstream/";>dvbstream</a>.
In order to use it with a ATSC DVB device you need to grab the latest copy
from CVS, this can be done by issuing the following commands.

( when prompted for a password just press enter )
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvsroot/dvbtools login
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvsroot/dvbtools co -P
dvbstream

You need to set the path in the Makefile to that of the dvb-kernel typically
located in /usr/src/dvb-kernel
now your ready to make dvbstream.

In order to view an incoming stream you?ll need a video player capable of
displaying
Mpeg2-TS streams such as <a href=?
http://www.mplayerhq.hu/?>mplayer</a>. You'll need to read the
information on their homepage to see how to compile and install MPlayer.
Once, installed you can
view a station by executing the following command.

dvbstream -o -vsb 8 8192 | mplayer -vo xv -

*Note: the 8192 is not a valid PID it will return the entire TS stream to
mplayer. To find other streams in a TS stream run mplayer with the -v
option.
