I seriosly would prefer to move pll-stuff to a PLL-lib (which is done, thanks Gerd). Maybe newer cards/boxes (with microtune tuners) are more complicated to abstract, but most of the pll-programmings currently written, can be moved to pll-lib. E.g.: I can removed about 200 lines from dvb-dibusb-fe-i2c.c when using the pll lib. Whereas 150 lines are just copies from other dvb-drivers.
