Hi y'all. I've finally got my Hauppauge WinTV-NovaT card working - through 2 inline signal boosters, but I'm not getting all the channels in my channels.conf file. To test I'm simply using tzap in one window and piping the /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr to mplayer Can anyone explain why some channels in a multiplex work while others don't? For instance : #Multiplex B BBC - Channel 28, Offset -, Frequency 529833333 #Community (0x4e00) 01: PCR 0x1fff #703 (0x4c80) 01: PCR 0x1fff BBC PARLMNT:529833333:INVERSION_OFF:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_3_4:FEC_NONE:QAM_16:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:403 BBC FOUR:529833333:INVERSION_OFF:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_3_4:FEC_NONE:QAM_16:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:201:401 701:529833333:INVERSION_OFF:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_3_4:FEC_NONE:QAM_16:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:204:411 702:529833333:INVERSION_OFF:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_3_4:FEC_NONE:QAM_16:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:203:407 CBeebies:529833333:INVERSION_OFF:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_3_4:FEC_NONE:QAM_16:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:401:402 BBC Asian Net:529833333:INVERSION_OFF:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_3_4:FEC_NONE:QAM_16:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:435 1Xtra BBC:529833333:INVERSION_OFF:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_3_4:FEC_NONE:QAM_16:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:434 BBC 7:529833333:INVERSION_OFF:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_3_4:FEC_NONE:QAM_16:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:433 BBC 6 Music:529833333:INVERSION_OFF:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_3_4:FEC_NONE:QAM_16:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:432 BBC 5L SportsX:529833333:INVERSION_OFF:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_3_4:FEC_NONE:QAM_16:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:431 BBC R5 Live:529833333:INVERSION_OFF:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_3_4:FEC_NONE:QAM_16:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:430 I can get 701, 702, BBC FOUR, but not all the rest. Also, it doesn't seem to be a factor of signal strength, snr etc as to which channels mplayer will display. for instance : looking at the below, I can watch 'Sky Travel' but not 'CHANNEL4' or 'ITV 1' any ideas? tzap -c ~/.tzap/channels.conf -r 'CHANNEL4' using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0' tuning to 481833333 Hz video pid 0x0b0b, audio pid 0x0b0c status 00 | signal 00ff | snr c000 | ber 00003fff | unc 00000100 | status 1f | signal 0044 | snr ffdf | ber 0000000f | unc 00000100 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 0044 | snr fffe | ber 00000001 | unc 00000005 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 0044 | snr ffd7 | ber 00000028 | unc 00000100 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 0045 | snr ffdf | ber 00000020 | unc 00000100 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 0045 | snr ffe0 | ber 0000001f | unc 00000100 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 0045 | snr ffc3 | ber 0000003c | unc 00000010 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 0044 | snr fff4 | ber 0000000b | unc 00000100 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 0044 | snr fff6 | ber 00000009 | unc 00000100 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 0044 | snr ffe2 | ber 0000001d | unc 00000100 | FE_HAS_LOCK [root@nzbaxters ~]# !935 tzap -c ~/.tzap/channels.conf -r 'ITV 1' using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0' tuning to 481833333 Hz video pid 0x0200, audio pid 0x028a status 01 | signal 0045 | snr ffd4 | ber 0000002b | unc 000000eb | status 1f | signal 0045 | snr ffa8 | ber 00000057 | unc 00000100 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 0045 | snr ffb1 | ber 0000004e | unc 00000100 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 0045 | snr ffc5 | ber 0000003a | unc 00000100 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 0045 | snr ffc8 | ber 00000037 | unc 00000100 | FE_HAS_LOCK [root@nzbaxters ~]# !926 tzap -c ~/.tzap/channels.conf -r 'Sky Travel' using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0' tuning to 578166666 Hz video pid 0x012d, audio pid 0x012e status 00 | signal 00ff | snr c000 | ber 00003fff | unc 00000100 | status 1f | signal 0047 | snr ffc8 | ber 00000037 | unc 00000100 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 0047 | snr ff99 | ber 00000066 | unc 00000100 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 0047 | snr ffe4 | ber 0000001b | unc 00000100 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 0047 | snr fff0 | ber 0000000f | unc 00000100 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal 0047 | snr ffe3 | ber 0000001c | unc 00000100 | FE_HAS_LOCK
