I know! Honestly, I did not really understand the question in the first place, seeing as the bug is still open. I'm sure you realize that in the absence of a precise question, I can only tell you that the issues I (and many other people, judging by the popularity of the alternate driver) are experiencing are still present, and not much else. This is on a 64 bit kernel, for what it's worth.

I would very much like a way to trace what happens in the driver when NetworkManager attempts to turn the connection on, but I don't know how. If you would be so kind as to indicate to me what would constitute useful information and how to obtain it, I would be happy to help.
