Sorry for the confusion. I used the same branch to generate two unrelated patches. And that's probably why the second patch (this) came out the way it did. If you don't think that's the reason then I am sorry I don't know what's going on. I am new to the community and this is my first attempt at submitting a kernel patch. At least I won't use the same branch to generate multiple patches until I learn more. Two questions: (1) Shall I generate a new patch ? (2) I used 'git send-email ...' to send the patch. Did the patch format come out ok or do I need to fix things on my end ?
