Docbook is almost impossible to have a wysiwyg editor for (by design), meaning no technical writers ever use it as an authoring format, meaning it's only ever used by programmers to write documentation.

Which means its actual userbase is basically us.

Did they finally ever fix the glitch that caused all the garbage characters in html rendering, ala http://kt.earth.li/kernel-traffic/ (the black question mark triangles up top, for example)... You can fix it by removing the reference to the code page, but the raw output as displayed in chrome and firefox was crap for _years_...
