Why something like below doesn't work?
int sanitize_mpol_flags(int *mode, unsigned short *flags)
{
*flags = *mode & MPOL_MODE_FLAGS;
*mode &= ~MPOL_MODE_FLAGS;
return validate_mpol_flags(*mode, flags);
}
