And I think you had mentioned earlier that "The DNS upcall code in this program is going to deprecated eventually in favor of the one provided by keyutils." Would that mean eventually cifs_resolver() function would disappear and so this concern only applies to handling of key_descr in just the function cifs_idmap() i.e. no code in cifs.upcall would need the separate function?
