According to the official specs, the Bose QuietComfort 35 supports BT 4.1: https://www.cnet.com/products/bose-quietcomfort-35/specs/ It's possible that the issue maybe cropping up with certain hardware combos, too. For example, I'm running Dell Precision Workstation 5510.
