Wow, sounds like ready to kickstart a patent fight! ;)

:D

Especially because those products are used that much. I bet > 50% of us
can't live without such good useful tools ;).

Nice to read that you have got humour :).

Yah, it seems I do. New movie title: The Man of Squeal (Superman is a heavy metal guitarist who loves feedback). :)

Can we assume that you are
not that enthusiastic anymore?

Enthusiastic about what? I like knobs and sliders. Knobs and connecting cables were some of the most fun things about the Moog! I have NO tablet/touch surface except the little 2.5x4" touchpad on my laptop and a couple of old Wacom graphics tablets (that only respond to their stylii), so why should I care if ones are or were available for modern tablet devices?

I plan to replace my present synthesizer keyboard with an Akai MPK-88, which comes with an abundance of knobs and sliders.

IIRC you once mentioned the book "The Design of Everyday Things" ;).

Yah. Knobs and sliders and such are very everyday things. So are toothpicks. Now someone needs to come up with a Kickstarter to turn toothpicks into a music controller.
