Hmm jack-keyboard does not have very many controls, no pitch or mod wheel that I can see. vkeybd has at least those two controls and may be a better test. The mod wheel can be set to various normal kb controlers, but the main thing is that moving a mod wheel tends to send a lot of data at once. Much more than a few key presses.
