not all the messages are marked as spam, but it happens quite often (this
conversation was marked as spam)
Happens here as well and it doesn't seem to learn when I keep marking them as
non-spam.
Is there someone who subscribed then couldn't figure out how to unsubscribe
and keeps marking list mails as spam? Some other explanation?

In Gmail settings set up a new filter for LAU and set it to "Never mark
as spam".
I just set it up yesterday after reading this thread so not sure how
well it works yet. I too was losing a few, but not all, list mails to
the spam filter.
