As Robin noted in his most recent message, d'n'd to the multiview works, and 
the wiki states one should use File->New, not Open, to load some .wav file.
But it seems that doesn't work if no audio output is chosen (when I tried under 
that condition, it seemed to load but failed to show the spectrogram).
