DisplayPort and Thunderbolt are two different things. Displayport works
under Linux but IMO only for displays (hence the name?). Thunderbolt
doesn't work at all. At least from what I read about it lately.

I see, but the port is the same (actually it's mini DisplayPort). If thunderbolt will be supported in linux one day, I should be able to use it.
But I guess that I'll need a USB2 audio interface for this laptop..
