What about "einbeinig" playing by radio or people listening by headphones, who are deaf on one ear etc.? OT: Btw. there's a nice Linux flanger or phaser that does exactly the panning you can hear on Jimi Hendrix' "The Cry of Love". I suspect they produced it using 2 recorders.
