There are some players whose real no-overdubs playing is good enough to
do that. Dave Weckl and Vinnie Colaiuta have both often made me wonder
who I think I'm kidding about playing drums. :)

Yet if they weren't available on recordings, chances are very few people would have ever heard their no-overdub playing. They'd only have inaccurate descriptions by others to go on.
