Hmm, I've never met a Linux user (experienced or otherwise) that liked GNOME3. GNOME2, yes. Or no GUI whatever (a former co-worker who's part of a white-hat hacker group and computer security wiz). But none of them are audio users.

My favorite desktop for years was Fluxbox. I still keep it around. I'm weird. I still think TARGA Tips had the perfect GUI for a graphics application.
