but when i start the editor, aconnect is not seeing it.
aconnect shows only ports that are meant to be connected by other programs.
I'd guess the editor connects automatcally, or has some option.

you are right. but with the bcfedit i could not find out how to connect to the unit. the bc manager works good for this. i can scan for devices and if found some, they get autoconnected to the software.
