Hello everyone!
OK, it's working again. I took it out once more, to have someone look at it and then put it in, just for the hell of it and then tried reconfiguring a few things in alsamixer again and now I have sound. This is still odd and I might still think about slowly putting a new card on my TODO list. :-(
