Do you know if your wifi card is sharing an interrupt with your audio interface?
 
On my laptop the nvidia card was sharing an interrupt with the firewire interface.  After enabling MSI in the nvidia driver my xruns became non-existent.  Maybe you have this option with your wifi module.
