That sounds like a really good suggestion!

I tried building linuxsampler from cvs, thinking that might be the way
forward for the plugins to get installed, but it fails like this:
atte@vestbjerg:~/software/linuxsampler/linuxsampler-1.0.0$ ./configure

checking for GIG... no
Required libgig version not found!
You need to have libgig version 3.3.0 installed!
Strange, since I just installed libgig 3.3.0...
If you build LS from cvs, make sure you also build libgig from cvs
