Jack2 isn't a wrong choice imho. People use it with complex setups and
it has the advantage of MP support in some cases and Ladish works with
Jack2 (jackdbus enabled).

Setting it as the default sound daemon is a wrong choice imho, not the choice of Jack2 instead of Jack1 or tschack.
Ah Jack as default (Desktop) sound daemon, I agree. On Ubuntu it works pretty good when you use Pulseaudio for consumer stuff and Jack for proaudio.
