I'm not sure either that sooperlooper is up to the demands of the
controllerists, but to its defense, midi parameter mapping can be
value bound to prevent this from happening.  If you set the target
range max and min values in the midi bindings settings to something
sane, then the stretch should behave a little more nicely.
