Dyne:Bolic hasn't been updated since 2007. I wouldn't got there if your looking for bleeding edge ;-)
Pure::Dyne is the up-to-date Dyne:Bolic in my eyes.. (i might get flamed for that..)

PS: Pure::Dyne does have -devel stuff installed as default (from thier site):
devel:  gcc, make, patchutils, subversion, mercurial, bzr, emacs-goodies-el, java jdk, python, ...
