Example of the video quality (never mind my performance): http://camcorder.jvc.com/product.jsp?pathId=58 Audio quality is abysmal but I can record with jack and multiplex over its original audio. I loose the ability to encode raw frames to the format I wish but the USB bus can't sustain 30 fps HD frames anyway, so I think it's a good trade off.
