Yes that's the setup, you'd then have to add a seq or arp module to it using one of the "+" buttons, choose your MIDI channels and an arp pattern from the combobox (if you want an arpeggiator).

The man pages are explaining most of it I hope, so "man qmidiarp" might give you some help.
