In german we call this a "Zungenbrecher"(tongue-breaker). Given that it was a lot of work to actually write the code, choosing a short, speakable and rememberable name should be the fun-part... > is an Audio Player frontend to the popular Mplayer [...] > Supports MP3 and WMA The purpose of Mplayer and more or less its primary power is, that it supports each and every media-codec in existence. So a mplayer-frontend that not even supports OGG vorbis appeareth kind of strange to me. A non-free licensed multimedia-player could be interesting if it allows to play encrypted DVDs and maybe even copy-restricted files but what reason shall I have to use a player, that I have to install from a website, if it only offers a fraction of the features I get from Amarok with a few mouseclicks in a package-manager? best regards HZN -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAktEycYACgkQ1Aecwva1SWNX6QCfffsPm65KDpBtMh+S0YezLdQ2 1CIAoI1mdUMEZElWht3M8JUcRNYaNTNQ =GHMU -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/listinfo/linux-audio-user
