It reminded me of a nifty chiptune netlabel, called "Pause Music" (iimusic.net)... they appear to be using Wordpress with some clever styling (and probably plugins) to combine a blog and digital-release catalog. Perhaps "Flying Penguin Records" could draw some inspiration from it?
