do other cardbus cards work in this slot? reason i'm asking is i had
mysterious failures with my firewire card, followed by a complete
breakdown, and then i discovered that 3 pins in the slot were bent. talk
about major surgery to fix that. i ended up glueing my firewire card
into the slot, because i figured with the strained contacts, i'd get one
or two mating cycles at best :(
