Hi Aaron!
   I can't use gmplayer, but I think it has some kind of playlist support. At 
least I know that mplayer can read a good deal of playlist formats, like in 
m3u or asx. But I think in the GUI you also have some basic playlist creation 
support.
   Still I know, that mplayer is reliable enough, to be preferred by the 
slimdevices system, which uses some commercial player-devices, which also 
prefer FLAC.
