I'm VERY, VERY frustrated with the distro these days. That said I don't find it difficult to set a machine up using Gentoo.It really doesn't take much of my time to get the machine running,just a lot of computer time over a couple of days. The payback for mehas always been stability, but for the last 6 months anything but.Lots of problems for me on pretty much every platform except AMD64 andAMD64 doesn't support some fun apps like ChucK and SuperCollider. ALL my X86 machines have issues and have required huge amounts of timeand some money to fix. (Non-audio software though so it might noteffect you.) Support the Bugzilla has dropped way off in the last yearwith the recent herd of maintainers.
