Hello Jim, no question: it runs stable. Via VirtualBox you're running a full-featured Windows XP system. Beside performance issues, ableton should run as good as on a "real" system. A question: Is it possible to route the VirtualBox' audio ouput via Jack? My audio system is presently down so I can't try it myself. I would guess that it is only possible to have the PCM Out signal available for jack. At the most. Best regards, Sebastian. jim wrote: > Hi list > > I saw those posts about Ableton Live in linux with wine. > > I've never tried to run it with wine but I have good results with > Innotek VirtualBox, running a XPsp2 in a ubuntu gutsy host. > > For now i only tested with audio clips with Live provided audio effects, > no midi, no virtual instruments, but the results are quite good, seems > stable. > > And virtualBox is really easy to setup, configure and use. > _______________________________________________ > Linux-audio-user mailing list > Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > http://lists.linuxaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-audio-user _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-audio-user
