a distribution is an entire environment; just changing a kernel isn't the 
answer. you'd be better off going for a RT based 'system' like 
planet-CCRMA,Musix or 64 Studio. Lot's of isssues with Ubuntu for RT it seems 
judging from the number of posts about it. They only have a preemptive kernel 
atm.  change distro
