Ardour -- audio only I've had some success tying rosegarden and ardour together to achieve that, you can even use pmidi with timidity or a different synthesizer instead of rosegarden. Synchronizing the applications allows hitting only one record button, and it all worked quite well. If you're not recording midi, that might be an option to explore as well.
