nvdia proprietary drivers work perfectly. it is much more likely to be irq sharing. you are using rt kernel ? what does cat /proc/interupts show ?
I realize nv driver is often not an option and was just suggesting to disable proprietary driver for debug purposes, to isolate the cause of the xruns.
