Yep, but the ICE trains are quite nice. The back wall of the 
driver's cabin is one giant LCD, and normally it's set to
'transparent'. I only noticed it wasn't plain glass when some
glitch switched it off for a second or two. So when you have a
seat in the first carriage you have a view on the tracks, at
300 km/h most of the time. The train is driven using two
joysticks and some computer screens (just hope they didn't
use Windoze).
