Hello Chris!

Thanks to you and your collegues for the steady development of rosegarden!
I have built and installed 1.5 last night (worked OK after finding out,
how to handle cmake - whithout lirc everything else default). The new
behavior and look of the matrixeditor is just great - I suspect you
heared me whining about it here on the list a few weeks ago ;-). Now the
matrixeditor is one of the best I know and at first glance it looks like
some cpu-load/graphics-issues that appeared in 1x before are gone also.

Yet there are some weired new bugs on my installation of RG also, that
hopefully can be solved easily.

1.) At startup RG 1.5 pops up kdialog-boxes, that say, that external
packages are missing, especialy it does not find Project Packager,
Lilypond and neither sox nor sndfile-utils.
Project Packager, sox and sndfile-utils are installed and can be called
from the comandline (e.g. they are being found by bash). I have moved my
old rosegardenrc with no effect in that matter.

2.) though I am no big fan of VST on linux I still like to check out,
how the progress is in that matter. I had VST-Support via DSSI about
year ago in Ubuntu Dapper with RG. Now in 1.5 the VST-plugs do not show
up in the synthmenu - have I missed something (VST_PATH is set...)

thanks again, see you

HZN
