Ever considered that you actually deal with a bunch of individuals whos optinions on any little detail might be different or not? I didn't see anyone saying closed source would be evil. There are disadvantages to closed source and some of use are not willing to accept them, either generally or in certain cases. We saw valid and rational arguments on the pros and cons of starting new projects instead of joining established ones.
