I'm not really sure what you are referring to here. The attack rate,
harmonics etc. are a feature of the 'instrument' I am
emulating/creating, although I guess I could insert some variable
velocity filtering.

When creating this piece I worked entirely in Rosegarden's matrix
editor. This is unusual for me as I normally play tracks on a keyboard
and only use the matrix editor to stitch then together and sort out
some duff bits.

Maybe that is what you are noticing.
