all.
The example I gave (which you removed from your quote) was about someone
taking someone else's work and changing it to make it look like the
original author supported a certain view that he did not.
I didn't bother to look at the link. Now that you paraphrase it I still
don't see what your point is. Are you suggesting that propaganda is
illegal and therefore everyone should stop making it?
What is the harm in asking the original author first before using their
work in a certain way? It is actually quite a thoughtful and respectful
thing to do.
Maybe in your world we all get respect as artists and everyone has the
time to contact a major label to get permission to use a 5 second sample
in a remix they are making for a demo or to share with a few friends.
If that is the case then what planet are you from? It nice to have you
on the list...
