I have a small 10 HP air compressor I bought from a friend a few years ago. I try to take each computer out to the back yard once or twice yearly, where I blow as much dust as I can out of the fans. While I haven't done any real measurements, I think this cuts the noise down to half its previous level (and stays down for a few months). (Perhaps if I did this every day, I'd get to those negative decibel levels!)
