I'm going to try the less-work method first (just adding the rt-lsm patch to the SuSE sources). The kernel and modules are compiling as I type. If the install goes well, but I still have the performance issues I'll start looking at building from vanilla sources. Jacklab is now in my bookmarks. Thanks again -- David Haggett
