om is what you are looking for I think : http://www.nongnu.org/om-synth/

anything osc driven is scriptable, or commandline capable - whether it has
a gui or not.

When I get any time, I want to do a formal release of noiseweapon:

which is a small performance orientated fixed function synth 100%
controlled by osc (although the lack of any midi support means it probably
has a limited appeal atm :)
