Are usb devices a decent option for recording and playback? How about both at the same time? I am thinking of going laptop but would like to get better sound than is available in most. USB is then only option. Would the latency be noticable to me or listeners of my recordings? Which USB devices are best wrt Linux compatibility? Is MAudio good here too? Thanks.
