I emailed EMU asking about ALSA drivers......
here's the conversation.....

By the way I replied by telling them I would not buy a card that was not 
supported in linux....
At least IO would be a good start....
Oh yeah I also told them to contact the ALSA project....

Hello Tim,

We at, E-MU Tech Support, currently have no information regarding 
support for Linux.

You can not sync multiple cards together.  If you need more physical 
inputs, we suggest you consider the 1820 or 1820m.
